Clore Manor – Hendon

Offering personal and dementia care

Clore Manor is known for its warm, Jewish atmosphere. The hub of activity is the bright, airy main lounge and dining area. There are also smaller, more intimate lounges, activity rooms and a pretty patio garden where residents can sit during the summer months.

There is a separate, quieter lounge and dining area for residents with dementia. However, all residents are encouraged to join the home’s busy activity schedule.

The home benefits from a very active ‘Friends of Clore Manor’ fundraising committee, who often put on tea dances and special events involving the wider community.

Social programme and activities

Dedicated volunteers carry out a wide range of roles. Children from local Jewish schools often join residents on Shabbat, leading the service and offering wine and cake at the kiddish, which is held in the main lounge.

Physiotherapy and hairdressing services are available on site.

The packed social programme includes Jewish heritage talks, card games, quizzes, sing-along and arts and crafts sessions. The home hosts many themed special events including Ascot and Wimbledon days.

Surrounding area
Clore Manor is situated in the heart of Hendon’s Jewish community. Brent Cross Shopping Centre and the local shops in Brent Street and Golders Green are nearby.
