Donating Shares
Donating your shares to Jewish Care is one of the most tax-effective ways you can give, as you won't have to pay any capital gains tax on the shares you donate and you can claim income tax relief too.

The Minerva Business Luncheon on 10th November 2008 is one of Jewish Care's most important annual fundraising events.
The Lunch is held to honour the winner of The Minerva Jewish Care Award 2008, an unsung hero who has made a positive difference in our community.
Past winners have included:
- Shelley Gilbert, for founding the Grief Encounter Project
- Sir Nicholas Winton, for saving children from Nazi Germany
- James Kustow, who set up Marrow, a project that encourages students to join the bone marrow register
- Ron Jonson, an organ donor for a 9-year-old who needed a double lung transplant
This year, our guest speaker is Ron Sandler, Executive Chairman of Northern Rock plc, so we can expect a fascinating talk. The lunch brings together over 800 high profile business people from a variety of industries, who use the opportunity to entertain clients and network amongst peers.
