Jewish Care

Jewish Care is committed to ensuring that members of the Jewish community are able to support and care for one another.

In order to help make this a reality we have created a vision and mission for the organisation which sets out what we would like to see and how we are going to help make this happen.

To support this we have also identified the values that are important to us, that will guide us in what we do and how we behave with each other and our stakeholders. We call this our Vision, Mission, Values & Behaviours and you will find these listed below.

We have created these statements and guidelines so that we know what our aims and objectives are, as these in turn should help to make sure that our working lives are as enjoyable and as fulfilled as possible, giving us pride in ourselves and in Jewish Care.

Our vision
Jewish Care's vision is of a society where people support and care about one another and are able to participate fully in their community.

Our Mission
Jewish Care will enable Jewish people to participate and live in their community, by delivering care and support that recognises and respects their Jewish values.

To fulfil our vision and mission, Jewish Care will be guided by the Jewish values of warmth, kindness, dignity, honesty and respect throughout all of its services, and will:

• Service delivery
  Provide the highest quality social care, health and support services.
• Jewish ethos
  Promote Jewish customs and traditions and be pro-active in providing opportunities for people to celebrate and observe the Jewish way of life.
• Values
  Respect people’s differences and strive to meet individual needs by promoting independence, choice, wellbeing and dignity.
• People
  Empower clients, staff and volunteers; listen to them, act on their feedback and support and encourage their personal and professional development.
• Finances
  Maximise our efficiency and effectiveness to make the greatest impact possible and make best use of our financial resources.
• Partnership
  Work to support isolated and vulnerable Jewish people in partnership with other organisations where appropriate.
