The Karten CTEC Centre
Jewish Care runs two state-of-the-art computer centres in Golders Green and Stamford Hill. They are fully equipped to cater for people with any kind of physical disability or sensory impairment, with excellent access in a flexible, caring environment.
Individual training and support is given on specially adapted equipment so that users can learn skills and progress at a pace that suits them.
The Karten CTEC Centres are amongst Jewish Care’s most innovative services, designed to introduce users to the world of computing, improve existing skills and benefit their communication and learning abilities. They enable users to become more independent and possibly learn skills for employment.
The centres are both equipped with the following:
Knowledgeable volunteers give extra care and social contact in a Jewish environment. It also provides regular much-needed respite for family and carers.
Relatives, friends or GPs can make a referral, or you can contact social services or the Jewish Care Direct team. A nominal charge is made for each session.
If you would like further information, please call Jewish Care Direct on 020 8922 2222.
