Marion volunteered for Michael Sobell Jewish Community Centre (MSJCC) for over 30 years. She was presented with an award for 25 years’ service which she was thrilled to receive.

Marion lived locally and loved the community and volunteering for Jewish Care – it gave her a real sense of belonging.

Marion saw at first-hand how important our services are, as she helped members, served lunch in the café and made many great friends with members and fellow volunteers.

When her health began to deteriorate and she was no longer able to volunteer, her son Danny carried on bringing Marion to MSJCC so she could continue to enjoy lunch with friends, in a place she called her second home.

Story 2 Marion

Danny says “My mum was a selfless, wonderful person who always cared for others so it was only natural she would want to make sure that Jewish Care could continue their work through leaving a gift in her Will.”

Jewish Care depends on gifts in Wills to continue our vital work. Without these gifts, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide such expert and loving care for those who need us.
