Brenner Centre photo exhibition from award-winning photographer

Throughout January, photos taken by Edmonton resident Henry Jacobs, past winner in the Kodak Awards Competition, have been exhibited at the Jewish Care Brenner Community Centre in Stamford Hill.

The exhibition, called ‘a Time and a Season’ depicts different species of trees at different points in the year and is currently being displayed to coincide with Tu B’Shvat, the Jewish festival that marks the New Year of trees. Henry recently visited the centre to talk to members about the photos and the different types of techniques he used to create them.

Day centre members have enjoyed looking at the photos, and Hilary Raymond, a volunteer at the Arts and Crafts Department who initiated the exhibition commented: “Henry was able to give us some really interesting insight into the photos, and it was fascinating to hear more about them.”

Henry Jacobs commented: “I wanted to share my love of nature with members, as I know some often find it difficult to get out and about. I am delighted that so many members of the Brenner Centre have been able to enjoy them.”
