E & R Jacobs house opera evening

Opera evening raises £5500 for care home residents

Friends of Jewish Care’s Ella & Ridley Jacobs House raised £5500 at an opera and supper evening which was held at Hendon Synagogue’s community centre. Barnet’s Mayor John Marshall and Andrew Dismore MP were among the 150 guests and a number of care home residents also came along.

This was the second Harvey Richmond Memorial Concert, named after the nephew of event organiser Rabbi Monty Aaronberg, a member of the ‘Friends’ committee. Guests were welcomed by Natasha Carson, registered manager of Ella & Ridley Jacobs House care home, who thanked the committee for their help and support.

“They are more than a committee, they help staff and residents in so many ways,” said Natasha Carson. Equally happy, Friends chairman Cecil Landsman said the evening was “a great success.”
