Equity king Jon Moulton praises Jewish Care

Jewish Care welcomed former head of private equity house Alchemy Partners Jon Moulton to a business breakfast at Claridges, where he addressed over 200 people.

The breakfast, sponsored by Ronly Capital, raised £20,000 for Jewish Care’s services. A bottle of wine from Jon Moulton’s Kent vineyard was also auctioned, with the proceeds going to Jewish Care.

Over the years, Mr Moulton has specialised in transforming troubled businesses and has helped make up to 200 people millionaires. He successfully predicted the current global economic recession back in 2006, and has recently created Better Capital, which strives to improve the built environment in order to improve the lives of people in our communities.

Mr Moulton was cautious about the current state of the economy and warned the audience that “we are sorting out today’s problems at the expense of tomorrow” and that there is a serious need for “excellent leadership in the country.”

He spoke positively about Jewish Care, saying that it is a great charity and he was pleased to be able to support us.

Harry Wulfsohn of the Stenham Group thanked Jon Moulton for his thought-provoking address, and said: “Thank you all for supporting this wonderful charity, which is such an important part of our community.”

Howard Leigh, Chair of Jewish Care’s Business Group, reminded those at the breakfast of the invaluable service Jewish Care provides to over 7000 people every week, and said: “Thank you so much for all the support you have given to Jewish Care. The money you have helped raise today will benefit so many people who rely on Jewish Care’s services on a daily basis.”
