Rosa GrosberRosa is a keen exercise enthusiast and has been known to attend up to three exercise classes in one day so that she can stay fit and healthy. She says that yoga keeps her going.
Rosa has been attending the Sobell Centre for a number of years and before that regularly attended Jewish Care’s Stamford Hill Centre. Pauline Gusack, centre manager, hopes that Rosa will move back to the new community centre currently being built on the Golders Green care campus.
The Queen’s Deputy Lieutenant Martin Russell joined the party to present Rosa with a telegram from the Queen and said: “It’s with particular pleasure that I am here today. It is not unusual for me to attend a 100th celebration at a Jewish Care home but this is the first time that I have been invited to celebrate a 100th birthday at a day centre. The 100th birthday is a real landmark and is one to be proud of. Rosa, you brought up a loving and caring family for all these years and now it is the turn of Jewish Care to reciprocate that love and care to you – Jewish Care really do care.”
Rosa Grosber said: “I was really surprised that the day centre gave a party for me as I wasn’t expecting anything.”
