Four hundred and sixty partygoers flocked to the Camden Centre on Saturday night (8th December) for Young Jewish Care’s pre-ball party. “It was unbelievable,” said co-chairs David Kattan and Daniel Goldberg, who were clearly impressed with the high attendance and buzzing atmosphere.
Lit with fairy lights and lanterns, the Chinese-inspired interior proved a hit with the guests who munched fortune cookies and danced to a funky mix of hip-hop and R’n’B played by DJ Zeb Wayne. Adding to the fun, committee members dressed up as tequila girls and magnums of champagne were won as raffle prizes at midnight.
The evening raised over £5,000 to provide mental health services at Jewish Care’s centres for well being.
As well as raising funds, the purpose of the party was to promote next year’s Young Jewish Care Ball, which takes place on Saturday 15th March at the Café Royal. “It’s going to be simply amazing,” said events executive Laura Busse.
