The Sam Beckman Centre
Staff work in close partnership with volunteers, families and carers to offer a warm, friendly and Jewish environment for all members to enjoy.
The centre offers a very high level of support for up to 25 people a day and clients can attend as many days as required dependent on their circumstances and places available.
The centre is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just off Church Road, Hendon, near the Town Hall. It is a specially designed, bright, modern building with a secure, mature garden that is ideal for clients to use on warmer days.
The centre is open Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 3.15pm and Friday 9am - 1pm.
- transport to and from the centre may be arranged dependent on availability and location
- personal care: bathing, chiropody
- active, enjoyable programme of activities that may include outings
- first class Kosher meals
- support for carers
Standards are monitored by an independent quality assurance department which includes profession and lay assessors.
Care plans are negotiated for each client as part of our referral and assessment process. They are reviewed regularly so we can be certain the service meets the needs of the client and their carers. Additional support may be provided from one of Jewish Care’s other services, such as home care, and we also support carers through our Carers’ Network.
Referrals and admissions
Referrals can be made directly by social workers, care managers, GPs, hospitals and families. This process is straightforward – please contact Jewish Care Direct on 020 8922 2222.
