Services Available
The centre offers a wide range of activities, clubs and outings for anyone who enjoys company and fun. There are crafts, card games, discussions and more. There is also the opportunity to enjoy a kosher* lunch and tea.
The centre is supported by an active local fundraising committee, The Southend & District Aid Society.
We offer hot meals on-site. For those members who require transport, this is coordinated by Jewish Care using community transport resources such as Dial-a-Ride, volunteer drivers and private hire.
All of Jewish Care’s resources use kosher ingredients and recipes, and our staff are fully trained in preparing food in a kosher way. Please enquire for further details.
A number of services are available through the centre including:
- Kosher Style café (Friday Shabbat experience/hot meals on wheels service/ Take away service)
- Shebson Lodge Retirement Living

Southend and Westcliffe Jewish Community Centre is easily accessible by car, bus and train. The best bus routes are the 1, 3, 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 5, 26, 27, 27A, 28, 174, 560, 814 and B2. The nearest train station is Westcliff. Parking is also available.
