Jewish Care provides audio news, entertainment and talking books for people who find it hard to read or those who find it difficult to hold a newspaper or book.

The recording team

We have built up an extensive range of over 1,250 talking books by Jewish authors, or with Jewish themes, including biographies and novels.

Once a month we produce a 90-minute audio magazine, Sounds Jewish, which includes interviews with newsmakers, personalities and features on Jewish history and festivals.

Another 90-minute audio magazine, Jewish Extra, features articles taken from newspapers and magazines worldwide.

Every week we produce a recording of the weekly national newspaper, the Jewish Chronicle. You can hear it on our website from 2pm every Friday afternoon or receive a 60-minute version on cassette tape.

How to join the audio library:

It costs just £40 a year to become a member of our audio library.
Membership is open to people who are registered blind or who simply find it a struggle to read normal print in a book, magazine or newspaper. You can also join if you’re finding it difficult to hold a book or a newspaper due to Arthritis, Parkinson's Disease or any other condition.
