Jewish life traditionally revolves around the family. For those who have lost a partner or have recently separated from their partner it can be hard to adjust to life on their own. Jewish Care runs several groups to help ease the transition.

We have three groups that aim to help people adjust to life on their own after bereavement or separation.

Minus One aims to help those who have been bereaved young. Anyone aged 35 to 60 is eligible to join.

New Links is a chance to enjoy the company of new friends. We offer a relaxing evening of activities in a friendly environment and is open to all Jewish people over 60 who are alone.

Singular Challenge is a support group to help those who have recently separated from or divorced their partner.

We also have a lively social club for members of the Stamford Hill Jewish community who are single and aged 40 or over. Please click on the link for information about the Hillside Club.

The Hendon-based Tuesday Supper Club meets weekly for a hot dinner in a friendly atmosphere, and is open to lonely members of the Jewish community who are aged 40 or over.

Fore more information on any of these groups, please contact Jewish Care Direct on 020 8922 2222 or email us
