Angela Murphy

Director of Community Services

Angela first joined Jewish Care in 1994 as an Assistant Home Care Manager. After a period of time as a Director in the wider third sector, Angela returned to Jewish Care in 2008 where she embarked on the role of Service Manager for Home Care and Independent Living. Angela was responsible for the service design of Jewish Care's newest offer to the Community, Independent Living at Selig Court.

Angela has responsibility for the organisation’s regulated services independent living and home care as well as wider community services including social work, community centres and Holocaust survivor services. 

Her role oversees the development of new and innovative ways to support the community such as digital engagement for older people, and peer support for volunteers and others in the community. She is also involved in a number of other charities within the Jewish community and beyond, including 'OSHA within the Industrial Dwellings Society' group and the 'Irish in Britain'.

Angela is married to Paul and has 2 children. She enjoys spending her free time involved in her local community, including supporting the nearby Lee Valley Park and participating in programmes to keep her local community in Essex healthy and active.
