Adam Overlander-Kaye

Director of Fundraising and Community Engagement

Before joining Jewish Care, Adam was Chief Executive of ORT UK, having been appointed to this role in early 2016. Adam has had a long and successful career within the UK Jewish communal sector. Previous roles include six years as the Director of Fundraising at Reform Judaism, having begun his fundraising career at UJIA in 2005. Prior to this, Adam spent over a decade in the field of informal Jewish education, working for a number of organisations including, the Union of Jewish Students (UJS), UJIA and Bnei Akiva. 

Adam is responsible for ensuring that we raise the funds needed to run Jewish Care’s essential care services. The portfolio includes our Patrons & Friends of Jewish Care giving schemes; Legacies and Gifts in Memory, Trusts and Foundations, Capital Gifts, Young Jewish Care, Community Fundraising, Synagogue Appeals, Community Engagement Programmes and a wide range of fundraising events. Alongside the professional team, there are a wide range of committees and volunteers that work towards meeting the fundraising target. 

Originally from Manchester (the Red half), Adam is married to Jessica and has a son and daughter. He is an active member of Alyth Gardens Synagogue and a trustee of Jewish Legacy.
