Simon has been working in social care for over 30 years. Having graduated from Keele with a degree in sociology and applied social studies and a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work he lived in Israel for a year before working with Buckinghamshire County Council for three years.
He followed that by an eight year stint with the London Borough of Hounslow where he ended up as Commissioning Manager for Adult Services responsible for mental health, learning disabilities and drug and alcohol services. Whilst at Hounslow he obtained an MBA.
Simon moved to Jewish Care in 1996 to develop Jewish Care’s mental health services and in 2003 found himself Acting Chief Executive, a post he obtained formally in May 2004. Simon is passionate about creating quality services in the health and social care field.
For rest and recuperation he enjoys watching football and spending time with his family.
