Neil has been Director of Community Services since 2004 and is responsible for Jewish Care’s community based service provision and the volunteer department (which supports 3,500 volunteers working across the organisation). Since the beginning of 2009, he has also assumed responsibility for all residential based and social work services.
Having graduated from Manchester with a degree in Politics and Modern History and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies, Neil has 21 years of managerial experience in social care, having worked in London and Jerusalem in youth work and managing the Redbridge Jewish Community Centre for several years.
More recently, Neil has acted as a mentor to the management team of Jewish community centres in Kharkov and Dnepreprotrovsk, Ukraine and has been involved in organising several pan European conferences for social care professionals in Jewish communities.
Neil is Vice Chair of Governors at his daughter’s school and is a member of the Joint Steering Group for Learning Disabilities in Enfield. He is an avid supporter of Leyton Orient FC and regularly exercises.
