“I’m leaving a gift in my Will to Jewish Care to say thank you for making my mother so happy.”
Debbie’s mother Molly used to attend the Leonard Sainer Centre for people living with dementia. From Molly’s first visit Debbie noticed a change in her mother’s behaviour. Previously reluctant to get up in the morning, Molly was now eagerly up and ready to visit the centre.
For Debbie, she felt as though her mother’s days were now filled with something meaningful. Molly took up art, enjoyed music groups and made new friends. While Molly was at the centre, Debbie received much needed emotional and practical support.
