Are your internships only for young people?
No. Our internships are open to anyone.
How long do they last?
Our internships are between six weeks and 10 months in duration, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Are your internships paid?
*Reasonable travel and lunch expenses can be paid *by prior agreement only.
Is there any opportunity for paid employment at the end of my internship?
No future employment is guaranteed but interns are free to apply for posts advertised within the organisation. A number of our previous interns have applied for posts at Jewish Care and been successful.
What can I expect?
As an intern you are considered to be a member of staff, so will benefit from the full experience of working at Jewish Care, including our extensive training opportunities.
- We expect the applicant to set themselves goals and objectives with a mentor in order to make the most of their experience.
- You will be provided with a line manager who will give regular supervision and oversee your personal development.
- Both parties have the right to terminate the internship if it is not going well.
Exceptions can be made for any college or university requirements. Course credits and assignments can be discussed at interview.
