Shop Volunteer

Commitment Thursday to Monday, 12-3pm (3 hours), ongoing Location Michael Sobell Jewish Community Centre, Golders Green


- Open up and assist in the shop
- Sell shop items
- Keep shelves stocked, clean and tidy
- Welcome customers into the shop and maintain a pleasant atmosphere
- Handle cash and the till
- Assist customers with their shopping, where appropriate

Skills/Qualities Required:

- Reliable
- Friendly, approachable and welcoming
- Able to use own initiative
- Retail experience preferable but not essential as training will be provided
- A patient and understanding nature
- Good communicator 
- Mindful of Confidentiality and Safeguarding issues (training will be provided)
- Act professionally and as an ambassador for Jewish Care
- Cooperative, flexible and a team player
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Able to adopt a person-centred approach
