Lag B'Omer 2021
Lag B’Omer begins at sunset on Thursday 29th April until sunset on Friday 30th April 2021.
This is the thirty third and only day during the Omer where people are allowed to have celebrations as the Omer is a semi-mourning period.
Traditionally, bonfires, bows and arrows, BBQ’s, picnics and carob cake are reflections of ways to celebrate. This Year, similar to last year people will still be required to socially distance to be safe. However, using imagination, upcycling and recycling, why not create an indoor garden along a corridor with pictures from magazines or artwork. Any pictures of Israel, flags and Jewish music will add to the atmosphere. As the carob tree, is symbolic on this day, if you research it, you will see that it is also used as a healthy chocolate substitute!
