Official dedication opening of Wohl Court11 Dec 2018
Trustees of The Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation joined Jewish Care’s President, Chairman and Trustees to commemorate the naming of Jewish Care’s second Independent Living Scheme, Wohl Court.
The modern development of 32 one and two-bedroom apartments will provide its tenants, aged 60 plus, with support and care whilst living independently within a secure community environment. As well as access to an onsite support team, there is a multi-purpose communal space including a dining area, laundry room, courtyard and garden. Wohl Court’s staff team will include a social care co-ordinator who will work alongside tenants to identify and plan activities and outings of interest to them.
As with all of Jewish Care’s capital projects, there is no funding available from the government. Wohl Court has been possible thanks to a generous donation from the Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation, in memory of Maurice and Vivienne Wohl, Forever Caring For Others.
