Young Jewish Care Property Breakfast21 Apr 2016
More than 80 young property professionals networked at Young Jewish Care’s Property Breakfast and then heard a lively panel discussion led by ITN’s Charlene White.
Panellists were LSH Chief Executive, Ezra Nahome, Mark Pears CBE of William Pears and The Pears Foundation and Steve Morgan OBE founder and chairman of Redrow. The event raised £2500 to support Jewish Care’s services for people with mental health support needs at Jack Gardner and Sidney Corob House.
The panellists covered affordable homes, Mayoral candidate’s strategies on solving London’s housing problems, high stamp duty and schemes to support first time buyers as well as the effects of Brexit and in the case of Mark Pears and Steve Duggan, previous challenges of managing Leyton Orient and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC respectively.
YJC Property Committee Co-Chair, Alex Springer said,
“Thanks go to our panellists who are not only experts at the top of their field in the property industry, they also make a huge contribution through their philanthropy and are an example of what all of us in the property industry should be doing.”
Ezra Nahome, LSH Chief Executive sponsors of the event said,
“When Jewish Care offered us the opportunity to host the breakfast I was delighted to accept and I’m so pleased to see you all here.”
He encouraged young people in their property careers to
“Recognise that whilst you’re young, you have the freedom to make big decisions that will affect your life and there won’t be as many of these chances as you think so you’ve got to be ready to seize opportunities and see them when they’re there. They might not come again, so go for it.”
