Jewish Care becomes a member of ARCO

10 Mar 2017

Jewish Care has become a member of the Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO), the organisation that sets and maintains high standards for Independent Living service providers. Jewish Care opened its first Independent Living scheme in 2010.

Jewish Care, the leading health and social care organisation for the Jewish community in the UK, has a range of services for older people across London and the South East, including 45 Independent Living apartments in Selig Court, Golders Green.

Neil Taylor, Jewish Care’s Director of Care and Community Services, said:

“ARCO membership recognises our commitment to providing an open and honest Independent Living service to prospective and current tenants of Selig Court; from transparency around fees and how the scheme is run, to maintaining a consultative relationship with tenants."

In a letter congratulating Jewish Care of their successful ARCO membership, Nick Abbey, Chair of the ARCO Standards Committee, said:

“This is an excellent achievement and Jewish Care has demonstrated its commitment to high standards of customer services.”

Becoming a member of ARCO demonstrates Jewish Care’s commitment to delivering quality services for its tenants.

The demand for housing with support continues to grow. Over the next five years, Jewish Care will be expanding its independent living services with plans to develop three new schemes in and around London, the first of which is in Hendon and is due to open in 2018.
