Anita Dorfman House
Phase 1: Opening in 2019
This new residential, nursing and dementia care home replaces the current Princess Alexandra Home. Purpose-built to the highest standards, Anita Dorfman House provides brand new facilities and quality care in a modern, Jewish environment. The home is available for new residents who would like to move in from the community, as well as the 45 residents who currently live in The Princess Alexandra Home.
The home offers different types of care:
- Personal care
- Nursing care
- Personal care for people living with dementia
The 64 rooms are arranged in small, intimate households of 16, so residents and staff can develop individual relationships with each other and enjoy a more personal way of living. Each room is fully accessible with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms all face directly onto bright, modern, open-plan living space with a dining area serving Kosher food. Residents can take part in communal events and activites that happen throughout Sandringham (from 2020).
The top floor of the care home houses Wolfson Assisted Living studios. These are available for people who require low levels of care and want to continue to live independently in their own studio.
