A Future Gift to Jewish Care in your Will, whether large or small, will make a lasting difference to the thousands of people that we support every day of the year.

Future Giving ensures that older people in our community will always be supported, even beyond your lifetime. Your gift will enable us to continue providing high-quality care to vulnerable members of our community and their families, whenever they need it most.

Why Future Gifts are so important to Jewish Care

Every year, we need to raise £16 million so that we can continue to support those who need our help. A quarter of the money we raise comes from people leaving a Future Gift to Jewish Care in their Will. Without this, we simply couldn’t help all those who need us. Leaving a Future Gift is an investment in the welfare of our own community and your opportunity to help us continue making a difference for years to come.

Your generosity ensures that Jewish Care can continue to provide vital services such as:

  • Social work and community support – providing both short-term respite care and long-term residential care that enable people to live their lives with dignity and choice.
  • Dementia care – ensuring that clients with dementia are cared for and supported at our dementia day centres.
  • Family care – providing someone to listen and share advice and guidance, for individuals caring for someone.
  • Jewish Care Direct helpline – the first port of call for people in need of vital information, help and support.
  • Meals on Wheels – ensuring people get daily kosher meals delivered to their front door, with the drivers often being the only friendly face clients see from one day to the next.
  • Care Buses – enabling members to visit our community centres preventing loneliness and isolation in older life.
  • Entertainment and activities – provided in our care homes and community centres, and offered through free streaming video as part of ‘JC Presents’, so nobody has to ever feel isolated.
  • Celebration of Jewish identity – providing opportunities for people to celebrate Jewish traditions and festivals in a warm, safe environment.

You can have your Will written for free

Our free Will writing service offers a simple way to plan ahead for the future.

Making or updating a Will can be expensive and daunting, so many of us put off doing so. A professionally written, up-to-date Will is the only way you can be certain that the people and causes you care about are looked after and your wishes are known.

This is why Jewish Care offers a free Will writing service with an experienced solicitor who can provide a simple way to help you plan ahead and give you peace of mind for the future.

How does the service work?

Through our partnership with the National Free Wills Network, you can make or update your Will for free with an experienced solicitor who will write a simple single or mirror Will at no cost to you. Just give us your details and consent to pass them on to the Network and someone will be in touch.

Can I use my own solicitor?

Absolutely, if you have one already. Alternatively, we can also suggest the names of solicitors who can help you write your Will at a charge. You can then be in contact directly and your Will would be written at a cost agreed between you and the solicitor you choose.

Do I have to leave a gift in my Will to Jewish Care if I use the service?

Most people who use the free Will writing service choose to leave a Future Gift to Jewish Care, however there is absolutely no obligation to do so. A gift of any size will ensure we can keep delivering vital care to vulnerable members of our community and their families.

Many people choose to write or update their Will in their later years, but increasingly younger people are also choosing to leave a Future Gift to Jewish Care. This often happens after people get married, have children or experience a life changing event.

We appreciate that your first priority will always be to ensure that the people you love and are close to, will be provided for. After doing so, please think about supporting Jewish Care.
